"THE LIGHT ME UP" HOME....
This north-facing home without direct sunlight required a little more thought. As a design aspect I consider lighting as an essential ingredient when decorating a home and not an afterthought.
So the entire design concept for this apartment was about layered illumination. Just like we need light, without the darker, quieter moments, everything is flat and boring. It’s the subtle interplay between light and dark that creates appeal. So every room was designed as a mix of lighting, including overhead, accent and task lights.
A lot of emphasis was also given to use of stone. An entire wall in the passage was designed using light and stone. The emphasis in all the rooms was to make it Cosy and inviting. Though the rooms are light, bright and beige it is still warm and inviting. Soft, comfortable seating evenly spaced around the room, with large, colourful cushions, large coloured wallpaper were all added to accentuate the space. Comfortable seating, comfortable temperature, good lighting and good positioning of the television for viewing were all pre requisites of the client.

My Design Philosophy:
While designing a space the most important thing that we try to create are good, positive vibes. only then can you design a beautiful functional space not only for your eyes to see but also for your overall well being. There has to be a right balance between all the elements for the livable space to be converted into an inspiriting haven.
