The brief said need for space and storage....and yes don't forget the guests. This house for a family of 4 was full of challenges; from providing space such that no hampering by heavy bulky furniture to we need lots of storage...everything had to be taken care of.

By manipulating furniture, lighting and mirrors, among other home accessories, we brought in an element of airiness and brightness. Size of furniture plays an important criterion too. Contrary to what one would think, rooms look bigger furnished than unfurnished. However care was taken to not add too much furniture to maintain simple navigation through the home.

Another element accentuating the design was integrated linear LED lighting which helped to add balance, depth and variety. We played with shapes, shadows and space to create the homely warm look which at the same time dramatized the space depending on the mood and atmosphere.

My Design Philosophy:

While designing a space the most important thing that we try to create are good, positive vibes. only then can you design a beautiful functional space not only for your eyes to see but also for your overall well being. There has to be a right balance between all the elements for the livable space to be converted into an inspiriting haven.

Shweta Shetty had the privilege of being tutored one on one through seminars and project presentations. She used this advanced knowledge to formulate aesthetic designs during her early career and now building sustainable and beautiful architecture designs for clients has become her prime motive.
